Persistence is a Virtue

What happens when you head off in the wrong direction?
You meet thick overgrowth and the path is full of vines and thistle burrs.
It takes tremendous effort to continue.
Eventually,if you persist, you become adept at clearing a path.
You excel at this & win awards & accolades lauding your innovative approach to trailblazimg.
However, as you become more skilled at going forward you hasten the rate at which you veer further off the true path.  Further and further.
If you realize this was the wrong path
you will simultaneaously realize you are past the point of return and settle down til perdition
or continue forward mindlessly in an etude of dischordant measures.
Still, again, you may decide to convince others that this path is the true path
so that you are not alone in your failure.
Misery indeed loves company.
