To those who know and know me best
i appear as an affable guest
To those who despise and revile my test
i assure you i come in jest
To those who claim to love and then love me less
rest assured it is i who am truly blest
To those who suffer and endure depressed
i accompany you on your quest
To those who offer friendship dispossessed
you will still feel the things you fear, congest
Why not try innocence of thought and projection
Why not try sincerity of will and intention
Why not try mirth
Why not try charity
